Switch Over

Discretionary Disclaimer:
The characters, places, events depicted in this articulate creation are purely fictional which are based on non fictional ideas & incidences. Any factual resemblance & relation, if found, to any of such characters, places, events has to be purely coincidental. Also due care has been taken while conceptualizing the connotations, nomenclatures & terminologies dealt while critically dissecting the insect of switching over from one form to another.
The pictorial representation, several content or otherwise depicted throughout the theme based in this articulate creation are for exemplary purpose & do not resemble any intentional connection to express switching over haphazardly nor any attempt of some ‘issued in public interest’ kindda stuff.

It’s been indeed, around couple of months or so; for having scribbled down some strikingly theme based articulate creation. Without giving unscrupulous reasons & excuses of being bit busy playing with numbers & hardly left with any words to play with; & jumbling up into words, even further. Indeed diving in the world of words back, quite after a long time, seemed to be bit literally like scratching heads for puzzling out with words into bunch full of letters, sentences, paragraphs & so on….

Let’s get back into the world of words & conveniently dive over with that insect of ‘switching over’ the theme of this articulate creation. When the king of loneliness struggles, to accidentally miss / & intentionally skip that U turn from dead end…. Reading from eyes is like hearing from lips & speaking through ears.
Just as the volcano of discussion, debate & all kindda productively unproductive platform for expressing opinion & suggestion; erupts from a single spark of flame, be it the word of arguments or even the ravenous curiosity to dig underneath. There’s just one such thought of ‘switchover’; & yet each such thought has repelling & refluxing energy.
With every thought of ‘switchover’, crops countless thoughts; which weighs beyond the pros & cons, beyond ethics & practicalities; beyond good & evil, just as the sperm fights back to do miracles.… Not necessarily, all of these thoughts are to be considered, accepted or declined; in the name of giving a second thought.
Switchover is merely not about hunting feasible options, filtering & refining alternatives, scrapping out the odd ones; in the given circumstances & incidences. Going by the googled terminology of switch over; it’s all about change over, change by reversal, change around, as to a new order or sequence switch. Forms of transformation, makeover, trending, change, swapping are all the wings of switching over & moving on….
Enlisting all such trending instances & incidences from gadgets, apparels etc; from Chawl to High Rise Towers; shuffling & reshuffling job profiles; Jelly Bean to Sandvich; Kiraana Store to Malls & Multiplexes; Retro to Remix; 2G to 3G upgrades; Mobiz to Smartphone & Tabs; Specs to Lens….
Such endless & countless reasons behind the curtain, simply to switch over from Old to Newest Trend; with the quest to make the best outta it. The bargaining is undoubtedly & by all means on both sides. If not equally & rationally, yet, balancing & just playing with ownership, authority, responsibility indebtedness, gratitude & all sort of so-called professional termos.

Some say, believe & oblige that opportunity knocks the door once, but the destined fact behind the haunted curtains; lies that, there are countless lakhs of such opportunities knocking outta thousands of doors & ringing hundreds of bells. Yet just one & only key to the only locked door of destined fortune; is hidden under the doormat carved with determined efforts of gritty productive intentions.
At times, aspiring for something more, with bit of extra stuff (beyond DreamBig&FlyHigh); ought to get on to the nerves under the calcium powered bones. Creating ruckus & tantrums, within the brain cells, within nerves, veins, blood vessels, just anywhere & everywhere. Either it’s the classy multi colored butterflies called ‘commitment & determination’, which hovers around all over in the stomach, brain & mind, consciously & even sub consciously. Until the dark black clouds of hurdles & obstacles tends to supersede & gulp down the butterflies into stormy winds & whirl around on the ground of futility.
Stepping even the wrong foot, at the right place, at the very right fraction of second; seems to be aptly convincing; while rising back with thunderous bolt from the hell down under. It’s just merely something like rolling bare feet over scattered broken pebbles; while hunting an untraced & unknown path to walk over the finest of the marbles. Without much switching over the meaning & implications, striving & quest for that pinch full extra, even with handful of dwindling choco frappe in one hand & chocolate fudge in the other hand.
Crossing by with the thin line of conspicuously coated & filled with hell lot of tricks, tactics; & disturbing the flow & line of action, to grab that blinking bright star right above the head of the moon; with the blend of efforts & destined fortune; with pinch of destiny & luck by chance. By & large, walking against the odds, pays a price, just as to walk with the crowd & think & act like a odd, has its own compensatory inversely direct relation of rewards & reverts too.

Even when one bucks up & gets prepared from ins & outs; to face & tear out the full volume loudspeaker; even a silent tune playing in the tucked headsets soothes gives the signals & vibes, just to tune into the fine piece of strings & let the scrambled pieces fall in their places gradually. Having kicked back the fortune & destiny; there may be 100 reasons to stay back & stick onto the quivering & shuddering pebbles; at times with struggle, mind games or just like a lame automaton. But, at the same point of other side of the same coin, lies just 1 single reason to lure, mislead, tempt to shake everything 360 degree upside down.
The moment one accepts the blunder, of either sides of the tossed coin; one is just tempted & addicted to experiment more, so as to digest more excuses & reasons & broadening the extent of adjustment. That so-called adjustment of accepting & accommodating just anything & everything, with a flexible approach & attitude. For some, switching over & moving on is all about the ripened fruits of independence & freedom; for some it’s mixed vibes & feelings & while for rest others, it’s just blank emotions.

To lose something, & to grab better & best things, moments; lies a timeless, yet time bound puzzle of known & unknown facets of life, destiny, & beyond unthinkable. Leaving behind that ‘something’ with a scratch, scathe or simply a mark.… which may not be barely visible to thyself….but becomes seemingly visible in the mirror.
Without simply regretting, rejoicing, celebrating or even mourning; the spirit of moving on, deepens the intensity of purpose & intention of having switched over. Letting the unstable mind outta freaky options, choice, alternatives, substitutes, & complementary stuffs & so on. Stretching rubber band to such an extent & even beyond by exerting limitless pressure of expectations; to tear out into pieces of shattered opportunities, splintered hope, wrecked dreams, smashed emotions & lots more irreparable stuffs.
Knowing nothing & yet, the vibes of having a golden crown over & above some diamond studded crown…. Just as the sand particles filled with intense perseverance, pours down that tiny hole of targeted goals & streamlining the best of the possibilities, the countless waves flowing somewhere close or maybe far away; are unaware about even the boundless time swiping by naively….Leaving the royal golden spoon for some gold plated platter.
Without going much into intricacies & digging much more into the words. Coz, just even the thoughts & words are bouncing & wandering to sprout into new, fresh themes for countless articulate creations & explore the best into the world of words, in the near future & always!!....

PS: Having switched over, shuffled & reshuffled words & letters into sentences & paragraphs. Leaving on this note for now…. The journey to the world of numbers & words continues in the articulate creations to be born in the near future….

~Thank You~

‘Music’ is an art form whose medium is sound & silence. Its common elements are pitch (governing melody & harmony), rhythm (its associated concepts tempo, meter, & articulation), dynamics, & the sonic qualities of timbre & texture. The word is derived from Greek (mousike; "art of the Muses").
The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to a leatoric forms; & is generally divided into genres and subgenres subtly.
Ancient Greek and Indian philosopher’s defined music as tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies. Common sayings such as "the harmony of the spheres"; "it is music to my ears"; "There is no noise, only sound." points to the notion that music is often soothing & pleasant to listen to. By all accounts there is no single and intercultural universal concept defining what music is perceived to be

‘Musicology’ in broader sense is the scholarly study of music. A person who studies music is a musicologist. In the broad definition, the parent disciplines of musicology includes history; cultural studies and gender studies; philosophy, aesthetics & semiotics; ethnology & cultural anthropology; archeology and prehistory; psychology and sociology; physiology & neuroscience; acoustics and psychoacoustics; and computer/information sciences and mathematics.
Musical knowledge and know-how are applied in medicine, education and music therapy, which may be regarded as the parent disciplines of Applied Musicology.
Systematic musicology includes music acoustics, the science and technology of acoustical musical instruments, physiology, psychology, sociology, philosophy and computing. Cognitive Musicology is the set of phenomena surrounding the computational modeling of music.

‘Musical Analysis’ is the attempt to answer the question how does this music work?. The method employed to answer this question, and indeed exactly what is meant by the question, differs from analyst to analyst, and according to the purpose of the analysis. The principle of analysis has been variously criticized, especially by composers, “to explain by means of [analysis] is to decompose, to mutilate the spirit of a musical work”

‘Music Cognition’ is an interdisciplinary approach to understand the mental processes that supports musical behaviors, including perception, comprehension, memory, attention, and performance. Originally in fields of psychoacoustics & sensation, cognitive theories of how people understand music more recently encompass neuroscience, cognitive science, music theory, music therapy, computer science, psychology, philosophy, & linguistics.

‘Music Therapy’ is the final clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapy is an allied health profession and one of the expressive therapies, consisting of an interpersonal process in which a certified music therapist uses music and all of its facets—physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic, and spiritual—to help clients to improve or maintain their health.
Music therapists primarily help clients improve their health across various domains to achieve treatment goals and objectives. It is considered both an art and a science, with a wide qualitative and quantitative research literature base incorporating areas such as clinical therapy, biomusicology, musical acoustics, music theory, psychoacoustics, embodied music cognition, aesthetics of music, and comparative musicology.

‘Music Psychology’, or the psychology of music, may be regarded as a branch of psychology or a branch of musicology. It aims to explain and understand musical behavior and musical experience. Modern music psychology is mainly empirical: music-psychological knowledge tends to advance primarily on the basis of interpretations of data about musical behavior and experience, which are collected by systematic observation of and interaction with human participants. Music psychology is a field of research with practical relevance for music performance, music composition, music education, music medicine, and music therapy.
So having taken a tour of the world of music, let’s get back to the chef of music, who, not only arranges & prepares the food; but also presents so deliciously; that the foodie is already tempted just by seeing it. Well, without, discussing or complaining much over the calories, vitamins, nutrition, carbohydrates, fats, preservatives & addictives, proteins, calcium etc. Before moving to the dining table; lets jus move around the kitchen filled with music….

‘Lyricist’ is a writer who specializes in writing lyrics. A singer who writes the lyrics to songs is a singer-lyricist. This differentiates from a singer-composer, who composes the song's melody.
‘Composer’ or ‘Songwriteris a person who creates music, either by musical notation or oral tradition, for interpretation and performance, or through direct manipulation of sonic material as electroacoustic music.
‘Poet’ is a person who writes poetry. A poet's work can be literal, meaning that his work is derived from a specific event, or metaphorical, meaning that his work can take on many meanings and forms. Throughout each civilization and language, poets have used various styles that have changed through the course of literary history, resulting in a history of poets as diverse as the literature they have produced.
‘Playback Singer’ is a singer whose singing is pre-recorded for use in movies. Playback singers record songs for soundtracks, and actors or actresses lip-sync the songs for cameras, while the actual singer does not appear on screen.
So, having introduced the chefs of the songs; moving over to the recipe, ingredients etc..
‘Lyrics’ are a set of words that make up a song, usually consisting of verses and choruses. The writer of lyrics is a lyricist or lyrist. The meaning of lyrics can either be explicit or implicit. Some lyrics are abstract, their explication emphasizes form, articulation, meter, and symmetry of expression. The lyricist of traditional musical forms such as Opera is known as alibrettist.
Lyric is derived from the Greek word, meaning "singing to the lyre". A lyric poem is one that expresses a subjective, personal point of view.
The word lyric came to be used for the "words of a song"; this meaning was recorded in 1876. The common plural, predominates contemporary usage. The differences between poem and song may become less meaningful where verse is set to music, to the point that any distinction becomes untenable.

‘Musical Composition’ can refer to an original piece of music, the structure of a musical piece, or the process of creating a new piece of music. Although today composition is considered to consist of the manipulation of each aspect of music (harmony, melody, form, rhythm, and timbre); Composition consists in two things only. The first is the ordering and disposing of several sounds. The second is the rendering audible of two or more simultaneous sounds in such a manner that their combination is pleasant. A piece of music exists in the form of a composition in musical notation or as a single acoustic event (a live performance or recorded track). If composed before being performed, music can be performed from memory, through written musical notation, or through a combination of both.
Compositions comprise musical elements, which vary widely from person to person and between cultures. Improvisation is the act of composing during the performance, assembling musical elements spontaneously. Piece is a, "general, non-technical term, applied mainly to instrumental compositions from the 17th century onwards; other than when they are taken individually 'piece' and its equivalents are rarely used of movements in sonatas or symphonies.

‘Song’ is a composition for voice or voices, performed by singing. A choral or vocal song may be accompanied by musical instruments. The lyrics (words) of songs are typically of a poetic, rhyming nature, though they may be abstract verses or free prose.
A song may be for a solo singer, a duet, trio, or larger ensemble involving more voices.
Songs can be broadly classified as "art songs", "pop songs", and "folk songs". Other common methods of classification are by purpose (sacred vs secular), by style (dance, ballad etc.), or by time of origin (Renaissance, Contemporary, etc.).

An ‘Instrumental’ is a musical composition or recording without lyrics, or singing, although it might include some inarticulate vocal input; the music is primarily or exclusively produced by musical instruments.
In a song that is otherwise sung, a section not sung but played with instruments can be called an instrumental interlude. If the instruments are percussion instruments, the interlude can be called a percussion interlude. These interludes are a form of break in the song.
The opposite of instrumental is a ‘Cappella’. In genres which the non-vocal part is conceived using electronic media, the instrumental not necessarily has to be conceived by musical instruments, but is the term to refer to some composition or version that does not include vocals.
‘Medley’ is a piece composed from parts of existing pieces, usually three, played one after another, sometimes overlapping. They are common in popular music, and most medleys are songs rather than instrumental. A medley which are mixed series is called a megamix, often done with tracks for a single artist, or for popular songs from a given year or genre.

‘Alankara’ means "ornament" in Sanskrit and is used in the context of Hindustani classical music to collectively refer to the various embellishment techniques used in both vocal and instrumental music. Some common types of alankar used in classical music are meend (a technique of singing notes in a fluid manner with one note merging into the next - there are many different kinds of meend), kan-swar (grace notes - the use of grace-notes depends on the raga being performed), andolan (a gentle swing on specific notes, used selectively), gamaka (a heavy to-and-fro oscillation involving two or three distinct notes), khatka/gitkari (a rapid rendition of a cluster of notes distinctly yet lightly) and murki (an even lighter and more subtle rendition of a cluster of notes).
In the context of Indian classical music, Svara means a note in the octave.
The seven basic swaras of the scale are profoundly named as Sadjam, Risabh, Gandhar, Madhyam, Pancam, Dhaivata & Nisad, & are abbreviated to Sa, Ri (Carnatic) or Re (Hindustani), Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, and Ni and written S, R, G, M, P, D, N. Collectively these notes are known as the sargam (the word is an acronym of the consonants of the first four swaras).
The ‘Shruti’ is a Sanskrit term used in several contexts throughout the history of Indian music. It is considered the smallest interval of pitch that the human ear can detect.
‘Raga’ (often also spelled raag, raaga, ragam) is one of the melodic modes used in Indian classical music. It uses a series of five or more musical notes upon which a melody is constructed. However, the way the notes are approached and rendered in musical phrases and the mood they convey are more important in defining a raga than the notes themselves. In the Indian musical tradition, ragas are associated with different times of the day, or with seasons. Indian classical music is always set in a raga.
‘Tala, Taal or Tal’, is the term used in Indian classical music for the rhythmic pattern of any composition and for the entire subject of rhythm, roughly corresponding to meter in Western music.
It is a regular, repeating rhythmic phrase, particularly as rendered on a percussive instrument with an ebb and flow of various intonations represented as a theka, a sequence of drum-syllables or bol. Indian classical music, both northern and southern, has complex, all-embracing rules for the elaboration of possible patterns and each such pattern has its own name, though in practice a few talas are very common while others are rare. The most common instrument for keeping rhythm in Hindustani music is the tabla, while in Carnatic music it is the mridangam (also transliterated as mridang).

‘Carnatic Music’ is a system of music commonly associated with the southern part of the Indian subcontinent, with its area roughly confined to four modern states of India: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. It is one of two main sub-genres of Indian classical music that evolved from ancient Hindu traditions; the other sub-genre being Hindustani music, which emerged as a distinct form because of Persian and Islamic influences in North India. In contrast to Hindustani music, the main emphasis in Carnatic music is on vocal music; most compositions are written to be sung, and even when played on instruments, they are meant to be performed in gayaki (singing) style.
Although there are stylistic differences, the basic elements of sruti (the relative musical pitch), swara (the musical sound of a single note), raga (the mode or melodic formulæ), and tala (the rhythmic cycles) form the foundation of improvisation and composition in both Carnatic and Hindustani music.
Carnatic music is usually performed by a small ensemble of musicians, consisting of a principal performer (usually a vocalist), a melodic accompaniment (usually a violin), a rhythm accompaniment (usually a mridangam), and a tambura, which acts as a drone throughout the performance. Other typical instruments used in performances may include the ghatam, kanjira, morsing, venu flute, veena, and chitraveena.
‘Hindustani classical music’ is the Hindustani or North Indian style of Indian classical music found throughout the northern Indian subcontinent. The style is sometimes called North Indian classical music or ‘Shastriya Sangit’. It is a tradition that originated in Vedic ritual chants and has been evolving since the 12th century CE, Today, it is one of the two subgenres of Indian classical music, the other being Carnatic music, the classical tradition of South India.

‘Music Manuscripts’ are handwritten sources of music. Generally, they can be written on paper or parchment. If the manuscript contains the composer's handwriting it is called an autograph. Music manuscripts can contain musical notation as well as texts and images. There exists a wide variety of types from sketches and fragments, to compositional scores and presentation copies of musical works.
‘Music Engraving’ is the art of drawing music notation at high quality for the purpose of mechanical reproduction. The term music copying is almost equivalent, though music engraving implies a higher degree of skill and quality, usually for publication.

‘Beat’ is the basic unit of time, the pulse of the mensural level (or beat level). In popular use, the beat can refer to a variety of related concepts including: tempo, meter, rhythm and groove. In modern pop music, the term "beats" has been used to describe whole pieces of composed music.
‘Rhythm’ is characterized by a repeating sequence of stressed and unstressed beats (often called "strong" and "weak") and divided into bars organized by time signature and tempo indications. Metric levels faster than the beat level are division levels, and slower levels are multiple levels.
Downbeat: The downbeat is the impulse that occurs at the beginning of a bar in measured music. Its name is derived from the downward stroke of the director or conductor's baton on the first beat of each measure. It frequently carries the strongest accent of the rhythmic cycle. However, in some cases, the downbeat may not be emphasized. Such departure from the normal stress pattern of a measure is a form of syncopation.
Upbeat: An unaccented beat or beats that occur before the first beat of the following measure. In other words, this is an impulse in a measured rhythm that immediately precedes, and hence anticipates, the downbeat. It can be the last beat in a bar where that bar precedes a new bar of music.
On-beat and off-beat:
Off-beat or backbeat pattern, popular on snare drum; Off-beat is a musical term commonly applied to syncopation that emphasizes the weak even beats of a bar, as opposed to the "normal" on-beat.
‘Break’ is an instrumental or percussion section or interlude during a song derived from or related to stop-time – being a "break" from the main parts of the song or piece.
In acoustics, a beat is an interference between two sounds of slightly different frequencies, perceived as periodic variations in volume whose rate is the difference between the two frequencies.
With tuning instruments that can produce sustained tones, beats can readily be recognized. Tuning two tones to a unison will present a peculiar effect: when the two tones are close in pitch but not identical, the difference in frequency generates the beating.

U-Turn from ‘DeaD eNd'

Discretionary Disclaimer:
The characters, places, events depicted in this articulate creation are purely non-fictional which are solely based on non-fictional & fictional ideas & incidences. Any factual resemblance & relation, if intentionally or unintentionally found, to any of such characters, places, events, facts & figures, has to be purely coincidental. Also due care has been taken while conceptualizing this sensitive yet disturbing stuffs & adult subject matter dealt while critically dissecting the insect of deAth….
The pictorial representation, several content or otherwise depicted throughout the theme based for this articulate creation are for exemplary purpose & do not resemble any intentional connection to express support or instigate any ill fated acts.
Persons with sensitive emotions are sincerely advised to scroll down in a glance & just at the eNd of the page, Think & Decide for yourself…. Only to build a pool or bridge, to cross beyond that ‘DeaD eNd’….to that toll free expressway called ‘‘LiFe’’!!!....

It was undoubtedly mind pricking to go through this hell words; yet, beyond sheer curiosity & desire; lays a road towards ignorance of ‘dead end’….For those who still haven’t found that ‘U-Turn’ or even that Dead End; just fuel up the tank; & drive another mile road in this episode. Going into numbers beyond statistics & figures; having scrolled down; more than couple of dozen researched thesis from trusted sources. It’s not that knowing such sensitive & deadly words will ensure to breath & bleed without fear of that ‘dead end’; but; the world of bleeding dead words, has to have signals, only to skip that shortcut to ‘dead end’.

Around a million odd people die by suicide every year, making it the 10th leading cause of death worldwide. Rates of suicidal attempts are comparatively much higher in men than in women, with males three to four times more likely to kill themselves than females. About 15–40% of people leave a suicide note. Genetics appears to account for between 38% & 55% of suicidal behaviors. Mental disorders are often present at the time of suicide with estimates ranging from 27% to more than extreme of 90%.
Almost half of all people who die by suicide suffer from major depressive disorder; having one of the other mood disorders such as bipolar disorder increases the risk of suicide 20-fold. Other conditions implicated include schizophrenia (14%), personality-disorders (14%), bipolar disorder & posttraumatic stress disorder.

Approximately 20% of suicides have had a previous attempt & of those who have attempted suicide 1% complete suicide within a year & more than 5% commit suicide after 10 years. While acts of self-harm are not seen as suicide attempts, the presence of self-injurious behavior is related to increased suicide risk. In case of China, suicide is three times as likely in rural regions as urban ones, due to financial difficulties in this area of the country. China has one of the highest female suicide rates in the world and is the only country where it is higher than that of men.
Here, the events, facts, figures are of not much relevance; never meant to relate or simply, have inputs or may be effortlessly digest the numbers & words. Just because the statistics basically cannot derive & even anticipate the intensity of being suicidal & living with the killing desire to die sooner, untimely & innately.

Dying with the intense aspiration for having lived a couple of moments; or metaphorically to live or rather breath in only to bleed out & stale like a dead vegetable. Having perceived & still struggling with the speed breakers & sudden pot holes on that road of life which halts but not necessarily ends. Undisputedly there are presumably countless moments, factors, issues, events, incidences, expectations, obligations may trigger suicidal thoughts. Well, further, taking a snapshot of the ways & means to take a shortcut towards that dead end.

Factors that affect the risk of suicide include psychiatric disorders, drug misuse, psychological turbulences, cultural, family & social obligations & circumstances & genetics as well. Mental illness & substance misuse frequently co-exist. Other risk factors include having previously attempted suicide, the ready availability of a means to commit the act, a family history of suicide, or the presence of traumatic brain injury.

Hanging, ingestion of potassium cyanide, self strangulation, alcohol overdose, gunshot, overdose of sleeping pills, slashing wrists, poisoning, carbon monoxide poisoning, arsenic poisoning, snake bite, overdose of barbiturates, firearm, asphyxiation, jumping off from high storied places, overdose of vodka, overdose of Phenobarbital, suffocation, pesticide poisoning, self starvation, overdose of secobarbital sodium, overdose of coproxamol, slitting arms, veins, overdose of nembutal, drowning, drugs overdose, jumping off, triggering, toxic overdose……….& such countless, endless means & modes.

Suicide Method is any means by which a person commits suicide, purposely taking his or her own life. Suicide methods can be by two modes of interrupting one's life processes: physical or chemical. Physical modes of interruption typically act by incapacitating the respiratory system or the central nervous system, usually by destruction of one or more key components. Chemical modes focus on interrupting biologically significant processes such as cellular respiration or diffusion capacity. Chemical methods of suicide produce latent evidence of action, whereas physical methods provide direct evidence.Self Injury
It involves reducing the volume & pressure of the blood to below critical levels by inducing massive blood loss & is usually the result of damage inflicted on arteries.
Wrist Cutting is sometimes practiced with the intention of self-mutilation & not suicide; however, if the bleeding is copious &/or allowed to continue unhealed, cardiac arrhythmia, followed by severe hypovolemia, shock, circulatory collapse &/or cardiac arrest, & death succumbs.
Suicide by Drowning is the act of deliberately submerging oneself in water or other liquid to prevent breathing & deprive the brain of oxygen. Due to the body's natural tendency to come up for air, drowning attempts often involve the use of a heavy object to overcome this reflex. As the level of carbon dioxide in the victim's blood rises, the central nervous system sends the respiratory muscles an involuntary signal to contract & the person breathes in water.
Suicide by Suffocation is the act of inhibiting one's ability to breathe or limiting oxygen uptake while breathing, causing hypoxia & eventually asphyxia. These attempts involve using depressants to make the user pass out due to the oxygen deprivation before the instinctive panic & the urge to escape due to the hypercapnic alarm response. It is impossible for someone to commit suicide by simply holding their breath, as the level of oxygen in the blood becomes too low, the brain sends an involuntary reflex & the person breathes in as the respiratory muscles contract. Even if one is able to overcome this response to the point of becoming unconscious, in this condition, it's no longer possible to control breathing.
Suicide by Hypothermia or by cold is a slow death that goes through several stages. Hypothermia begins with mild symptoms, gradually leading to moderate & severe penalties. This may involve shivering, delirium, hallucinations, lack of coordination, sensations of warmth, then finally death. One's organs cease to function, though clinical brain death can be prolonged
Suicide by Electrocution involves using a lethal electric shock to kill oneself. This causes arrhythmias of the heart, meaning that the heart does not contract in synchrony between the different chambers, essentially causing elimination of blood flow.
Self Defenestration
Jumping from height is the act of jumping from high altitudes, for example, from a window, balcony or roof of a high rise building, cliff, dam or bridge. This method, in most cases, results in severe consequences if the attempt fails, such as paralysis, organ damage & bone fractures.
Suicide method of Firearm. Generally, the bullet will be aimed at point-blank range, often at the head or, less commonly, into the mouth, under the chin, or pointed at the chest. Worldwide, firearm prevalence in suicides varies widely, depending on the acceptance & availability of firearms in a culture.
Suicide by Hanging
When hanging one's self, the victim uses some type of ligature, as in a rope or a cord, to form a noose (or loop) around the throat, with the opposite end secured to some fixture. Depending on the placement of the noose & other factors, the victim strangles or suffers a broken neck. In the event of death, the actual cause often depends on the length of the drop; that is, the distance the victim falls before the rope goes taut.
Vehicular Attempt
Another way of committing suicide is deliberately positioning oneself in the path of a large & fast-moving vehicle, resulting in fatal impact. Suicide is accomplished by positioning oneself on a railway track when a train approaches or in advance, or driving a car onto the tracks
Overdose is a method of suicide which involves taking medication in doses greater than the indicated levels, or in a combination that will interact to either cause harmful effects or increase the potency of one or other of the substances. Suicide can be committed by using fast-acting poisons, such as hydrogen cyanide, or substances which are known for their high levels of toxicity to humans
A particular type of poisoning involves inhalation of high levels of Carbon Monoxide. Death usually occurs through hypoxia. Carbon monoxide is a colorless & odorless gas, so its presence cannot be detected by sight or smell. It acts by binding preferentially to the hemoglobin in the victim's blood, displacing oxygen molecules & progressively deoxygenating the blood, eventually failure of cellular respiration, & resultantly death.
Self-Immolation
Immolation usually refers to suicide by fire. It has been used as a protest tactic. Self-immolation was also carried out as a ritual known as sati, dowry death in certain parts of India, where a Hindu wife immolated herself in her dead husband's funeral pyre, either voluntarily or by coercion. Suicide in the form of self-immolation has been used as a medium of protest, one of the heinous crimes to end domestic violence to dig in & extort money unreasonably.
Seppuku (colloquially hara-kiri "belly slitting") is a Japanese ritual method of suicide, practiced mostly in the medieval era, though some isolated cases appear in modern times.
Anorexia nervosa has been referred to as a subconscious form of suicide. However, death as a result of self-starvation is not listed on death certificates as suicide.
Hunger Strike may ultimately lead to death. Starvation has been used by Hindu & Jain monks as a ritual method of penance, known as Prayopavesa & Santhara respectively.
Death from Dehydration can take from several days to a few weeks. This means that unlike many other suicide methods, it cannot be accomplished impulsively. Discontinuation of hydration does not produce true thirst, although a sensation of dryness of the mouth often is reported as "thirst."
Another method is death by explosion. High-explosives (such as dynamite, TNT, and C4) that are certain to explode & release an extreme amount of energy are often used to avoid unnecessary pain.
Suicide Attack is an attack in which the attacker (attacker being either an individual or a group) intends to kill others & intends to die in the process of doing so. Synonyms include suicide bombing, suicide-homicide bombing, martyrdom operation & predatory martyrdom. Kamikaze missions were carried out as a duty to a higher cause or moral obligation. Terrorist attempts & anti social elements to erode the society by disturbing its balance, stability & veracity.
Road of Rational Suicide
It is the reasoned taking of one's own life.  An example of this is an elder ending their life to leave greater amounts of food for the younger people in the community. In some Eskimo culture this has been seen as an act of respect, courage or wisdom.
Road of Murder–Suicide
It is an act of homicide followed within a week by suicide of the person who carried out the act. In extenuating situations where continuing to live would be intolerable, some people use suicide as a means of escape. Some inmates in Nazi concentration camps are known to have killed themselves by deliberately touching the electrified fences. There has been little scientific study of animal suicide.
Indirect Suicide is the act of setting out on an obviously fatal course without directly committing the act upon oneself. Indirect suicide is differentiated from legally defined suicide by the fact that the victim does not pull the figurative (or literal) trigger.
Assisted Suicide is when one or more individuals help another person commit suicide, i.e. directly, intentionally, & voluntarily cause his or her own death. "Assistance" may mean providing one with the means (drugs or equipment) to end one's own life, but may extend to other actions.
Road of Suicide Pact
It is an agreed plan between two or more individuals to commit suicide. The plan may be to die together, or separately & closely timed. Suicide pacts are important concepts in the study of suicide & have occurred throughout history, as well as in fiction.
Copycat Suicide is defined as an emulation of another suicide that the person attempting suicide knows about either from local knowledge or due to accounts or depictions of the original suicide. Suicide clusters are caused by the social learning of suicide related behaviors, or "copycat suicides"
Cult Suicide is a mass suicide by the members of groups that have been described as cults. In some cases, all or nearly all members have committed suicide at the same time & place.
Doomsday Cult is an expression used to describe groups who believe in Apocalypticism & Millenarianism, & can refer both to groups that prophesy catastrophe & destruction, & also to those that attempt to bring it about.
Familicide or is a type of murder or murder-suicide in which at least one spouse & one or more children are killed; or in which a parent or parents & possibly other relatives are killed.
Forced Suicide is a method of execution where the victim is coerced into committing suicide to avoid facing an alternative option they perceive as much worse, such as suffering torture or having friends or family members imprisoned, tortured, or killed. Because the victim's cause of death would be registered as suicide, the act also carries an additional benefit as black propaganda against individuals for whom an open execution would generate unwanted attention due to the suicide's position or influence.
Honor Suicide is a process whereby a person commits suicide to escape the shame of an immoral action, such as having had extra-marital sexual relations. It is distinguished from regular suicide in that the subject is actively deciding to either privately or publicly kill themselves for the sake of restoring honor.
Mass Suicide occurs when a number of people kill themselves together.
Parasuicide refers to suicide attempts or gestures & self-harm where there is no result in death. It is a non-fatal act in which a person deliberately causes injury to him or herself or ingests any prescribed or generally recognized therapeutic dose in excess. Parasuicide is the strongest known indicator for a future successful suicide.
Suicide Attack is an attack upon a target, in which an attacker intends to kill others &/or cause great damage, knowing that he or she will either certainly or most likely die in the process of act.
The term Bullycide is a portmanteau word, refers to suicide attributable to the victim having been bullied, either in person or via social media. Bullycide has also been defined as the killing of the bully by the victim.
Benevolent Suicide refers to the self sacrifice of one's own life for sake of the greater good. Such sacrifice may be for sake of executing a particular action, or for sake of keeping a natural balance in the society. It is a theme or concept of a custom of sacrifice typically found within certain types of science fiction stories.
Altruistic Suicide is suicide committed for the benefit of others. Tribal people sometimes see it as their duty to commit suicide. The act of taking one's life for the benefit of others is known as altruistic suicide.
